To preface, I tried to make sure that I was a good customer and had as many design desicions made as I could before starting. But I left many things open in case there was code compliance that didn't allow for my choice or someone else had good suggestions that changed my preferences. With that said, Lon was fantastic. We contracted him for a HUGE scope of work; all new electrical, plumbing, windows, siding (including insulation, OSB, wrap, LP siding, and paint job), new HVAC, new gas lines, load bearing wall removal, framing the basement, cement work, adding a deck, new flooring and kitchen remodel. He was energetic and excited about our project and was emotionally and professionally committed to the successful outcome of our house. He fought to help us stay within budget and on schedule while making sure we were getting the quality of work we mutually agreed on before the start of the project. I feel that he and his network of subs have a good and honest relationship. They all seemed to share the same understanding that our house project was a positive opportunity for everyone involved and I generally felt/saw that his subs took pride in their work. Of course, a project of that size on an old house will have obstacles. Lon and his team were great to troubleshoot with. Lons military background made it easy to talk through problems and come up with solutions without conversations becoming uncomfortable or unproductive. I think that's an important characteristic. Because of that, we were all able to comfortably decide on a path forward and never left a issue/topic unadressed. Ultimately, Lon was a great choice and we'd make the same choice again! PS. Lon at Rock Top Construction did a great job replacing our roof. Lon walked me through placing a claim with my insurance and then was persistent when my insurance first denied the claim. He helped me get my claim approved. The roof was done in 2 days. His crew was respectful and quick and cleaned up well. I would definitely recommend Rock Top Construction.

He communicated with my borrower and with me through out the entire remodel. We were complete aware of what was happening and when.
