Very busy, but cute little coffee shop! I love the vibe inside, there’s a few tables a seen people playing chess at and others reading books enjoying their time. I went on a Saturday morning, and was so busy I couldn’t sit inside to enjoy my order, but enjoyed my treat on my way home nonetheless.

This is hands down one of the nicest cafes I've been to! I was visiting Edmonton for a work trip, and Boxcar just happened to be close to where I was, so thought I'd pop in to get some work done. Absolutely love the vibe! Very, very cool place. Chic decor, unique sitting area, great menu choices and super friendly staff. There's also an outdoor seating area that's beautiful (see pic). Absolutely loved this place and will be back on my next visit to Edmonton!

Visit: July 2025 The cafe is really nice and homey. The staff is really nice and the drinks were good. The matcha strawberry affogato was really good. There's a lot of interesting drinks that I'd like to try next time I come back. We came in at 9am on a Saturday and it was already starting to get busy, but after we ordered, it got extremely busy!

This cafe is tucked in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. Love its eclectic vibe and cute/cozy interiors. My kids enjoy playing card games here while eating their fave treats (peach tres leches and pb&jelly sandwiches). I especially enjoy their lattes and chonky cookies. Service was quite slow but the staff are amazing and friendly. We'll keep coming back to this gem of a cafe.
