Roots Dental - Gresham

**Updated** - Still 5 stars. Had my third appt. and first "real" dental care with them. Everyone was super aware of my needs and very attentive. No notes. Preliminary appointment to establish care, both doctor Yelisey Gurzhuy and his assistant were very knowledgable in the use of new dental technology, professional, gentle and caring. I've set up appointments for a cleaning and the "real" work that needs to be done, all complicated by my other, competing, medical conditions.

I’ve been having trouble with an upper molar for several months. I had my dentist (at our usual dental group) check it and he said it was OK. On 7/30/25 another dentist said it should be looked at. On 8/14/25 my dentist said the crown should be removed and the tooth examined. The soonest they could do it was 10/26/25. As the discomfort/pain increased I decided to go outside my dental group and be seen by Dr. Westover at Gresham Dental for a second opinion. Based on the x-ray and his exam, he saw an abscess in the problem tooth and wrote a prescription for Amoxicillin for 7 days. He recommended a root canal be done after the 7 day antibiotic treatment. I went ahead and scheduled to have the root canal with Dr Westover even though he was not part of my dental insurance plan. On 09/24/25 he did the root canal, on 10/14/25 he did a CT scan and exam to see how it was doing. I am scheduled to go back soon to finish up with his treatments. Because I had no insurance with them, the office staff worked with me to make the payments easier. Overall, everyone there was understanding and helpful. Dr Westover was encouraging, patient and very thorough and I highly recommend him.

Had my teeth cleaned and Victoria did a great job. Very efficient and pleasant as a hygienist. Great dental experience. Would fully recommend Gresham Dental. Dr Westover is one of the best dentist in the area
