Our child has attended Rothewood for the past 4 years and we've truly enjoyed our time here. The teachers are patient, kind, and attentive - especially since our child has a severe allergy to a specific food. I can say that their carefully curated weekly menus of fresh cooked meals each week are a highlight for my daughter - she's even said numerous times that she wants to grow up to be a chef herself! From baby class to graduating this year, I've got to witness first hand the amount of growth that she's experienced at Rothewood. While they share a monthly curriculum with the parents, they adjust the lesson plans and level of difficulty depending on the children's interest and it's clear from my own interactions with my daughter that she's much further along in her mathematical skills and interests in arts and music due to the attentiveness of her teachers. I cannot recommend Rothewood enough - it's a safe and warm environment and am always welcomed with the children's laughter when you step through the front door.

We gonna miss this daycare! Started back when my kid just turned 1 at the baby class, all the way to JK3. We love how the teachers are caring and very supportive for my son (shout out to Ms Beatriz, Ms Evelyn and Mr Ryan!) They have rigorous curriculum from academic stand point but developmentally it is appropriate and challenging enough that it’s not boring. I am sure Kindergarten will be a breeze. So much learning and playing, lots of friends and memories made at this daycare! My son had a hard time going to school initially, but with the teachers help, support and patience, he opened up and now he loves going to school. And he loves the meals prepped by Chef Jerry too! Thank you to all educators and staffs at Rothewood!

My son has been attending Rothewood going on 2 years now. He loves it there and loves all the teachers and they’re very sweet on him. They are strict but that has helped my child to learn patience and routines. Seeing him at the playground understanding he has to wait for his turn on the slide makes me beam with pride. I know he learned this at daycare. And although they are strict, they are also very caring. Not only does my son run into the arms of his class’ instructors, he loves all the others as well. This tells me they truly have a family dynamic and interact with all children and not just the ones they’re assigned. Highly recommend this nice and clean facility!

In the past six months, my little one had a wonderful time in the Baby class! The environment was nurturing, fun, and full of engaging activities that kept every kid smiling and curious. It was amazing to see how much my little one learned—from new words and songs to socializing with others. All teachers and staffs at Rothewood Academy Richmond were kind and patient. I truly appreciate the care and attention given to each child; in addition to the open communication with the parents. Highly recommend this school for any parent looking to give their baby a great early learning experience!
