This a must try place to eat and enjoy the experience. Especially, if you like to cook/grill your own steaks! The waitress was informational about how this all works...also she was very bubbly and outgoing. If your out this way make sure to stop at Rubes steakhouse!

It’s been a few years since we’ve stopped at Rube’s but it was fantastic! Our server was wonderful and so knowledgeable. She helped us through picking out our steaks and grilling on the charcoal vs. gas grill. The salad bar has gone away since the last time we visited, but the wedge salad is even better. Such a unique experience and always well worth it to stop at Rube’s!

Rube’s is amazing. We stopped in for dinner on our way from Dyersville to Des Moines. The town of Montour is so small. The restaurant is about the only thing there outside of the post office. The restaurant concept of picking out, seasoning, and cooking your own steak was so unique!! The steak and the food were amazing. Our server was attentive and helpful. I wished we lived closer because we would visit this place often. Highly recommend if you are in the area. I would also recommend reservations to ensure an enjoyable experience.
