This place is an absolute gem 💎! Great vibe and charm in spades. I had the pleasure of chatting the owner and found that they opened in downtown Fayetteville in 1999. A courageous undertaking considering this area was quite undesirably seedy and crime infested back then. In fact, this shop was at the forefront of a decades long revitalization of what is now a thriving hub of arts, entertainment, and a plethora of foodie options. I always enjoy the outside seating which provides front row view to experience the sights and sounds of Hay St: a prime spot to chill and people watch (after about 8 pm on weekends you are guaranteed to NOT be bored :-) And yes, they're open to 12 midnight on weekends (10 pm during the week) making it the go-to option for late work/study. This is exceptional since there are are very few coffee shops in all of North Carolina serving these hours. A truly iconic establishment that would be very much worth a visit... Most highly recommended 👍🏾

Two words: Coffee. Flight. It’s divine. Every drink we’ve gotten has been something to write home about. Staff is friendly and helpful. The space is a little awkward due to the narrow building, but everything they serve is worth the squish and they do have a good amount of seating. Just be ready to scootch by! They have desserts, lunch choices, fruit, chocolate bars, and killer gifts/art for sale. Try one of everything. No regrets.

Such a great find. Was in Fayetteville for a visit with family late and needed a jolt of caffeine for the drive back to Raleigh. It was so nice to find a local coffee shop open late. The barista was so friendly. Great iced latte and also picked up a nice bag of beans from the roaster the cafe uses in Charlotte. The cafe is located in downtown Fayetteville which has been restored with so many neat shops and restaurants.

Came back to North Carolina for a second time and had to hit this spot up this AM. Staff is always friendly and willing to engage in conversation. The Mocha always hits. Rude awakening is a beautiful shop located in downtown Fayetteville and honestly is a hidden gem. They made baked goods that are tasty and def a bang for your buck. The coffee is always perfectly done, beans not burned, milk not over steamed, perfect temp. The place has plenty of other things to purchase. I highly recommended stopping in and grabbing a cup.
