It was really nice meeting new people and learning about photography these past few weeks. The teacher was really patient and helpful and the timeline was perfect for my short stay in Dubai. Really happy to be going home with all the extra knowledge. I was also provided with a camera and Mac for editing during the course.

I have studied in this university from 2020 to 2023. As a student who recently graduated, there are a few ups and downs in studying in SAE. I was also a former student, at its neigbouring uni Middlesex. So some of my points are a comparison to that seperate university. PROS: Easy Admission: Compared to some universities they would give admissions to literally anyone. They wont expect you to be  super creative and, work on a professional prorfolio. If you're signing up for a graphic design program they won't expect you to be really good at drawing or illustration (unlike MDX). Plus no interview. You do need to get a certain score in, the IELTS and CEFR exam tough. No Exams: In most programs, they will never make you take any tests or exams. All you'd have to do is work on your projects. Unless its gaming or some complex feild. Semester Breaks: You'd get a month of holiday after every three months to relax and unwind, after all that hard work. Acedemic Support: If you struggle with your work they do provide free tutors (it may be another student or a graduate). The lecturers do have consultation hours too. Most lecturers are pretty chill and are happy to help. CONS: Learning: They do offer you the basics that you'd need or the core priciples. However, to be a more advanced levil creative professional youd, have to figure it out yourself. If your work isnt top noch you'd have to push yourself harder, they wont take you to that advanced levil. Plus they overcomplicate things when the project is simple with, the process and such. They dont encourge out of the box creativity so much, they expect you to follow exteremly fridgid constraints. They make the job look as complex as rocket science. Most of the top tier students only excell because, they already know stuff (not because of SAEs teaching). Its only the basics you'd learn. There are also a bunch of units, which aren't directly related to your respective field. Fields that include complex research assignments and such. The workload can be pretty high sometimes too. At one point you'd have to take one unit of a totally different field of your choice. For example, As a graphic design student, I took an animation unit. Social Life: Very little social life unless you take part in certain events or clubs, or if you're in the student council. Most people just leave after their 3 hour class, as there is nothing to do here. its a pretty boring campus. Youd make more acquaintances than close friends. Its the total opposite in other universities, probably due to their fancy lounge areas and other facilities. Mosty film and audio students tend to have a stonger social cirle as they spend a lot of time on campus. I've made more friends from other neighbouring unis. Stingy Management: Unlike its neighbour Middlesex, they provide you with limited resources. SAE wont pay for your Adobe suit software or whatever paid software or resource you'd use. Their health insurance is only supported with limited hospitals. Its like they take more money than providing. you'd pay aroud AED 65k a year, and this is what you'd get. The SAE campus is pretty small btw, its just 1 and a half floors inside the Middlesex university buildings. I dont know what they do with all that money. When they got some new equiptment, they added an extra charge in the fees to inesure that equiptment. Facilities: Dont even get me started. The student lounge, is just room full of couches. It wont be as fancy as other campuses. There is no games room with, gaming consoles or a pool table and such. The one in Middlesex looks a lot better like a cool arcade. While the staff and student council memebers get to use this fancy automatic beverage despensor, a student would have to spend money on a vending machine. They used to keep that machine in the hallway and, some students used to steal a drink from it. Untill they hid it elsewhere. IKR, AED 60k a year and i cant even get a free coffee lol. They are so cheap they dont provide dissposable cups by that water dispensor. Their excuse is "saving the enviorment".

Had a great experience at SAE! I attended a robotics workshop and the lesson was excellent, very hands-on and practical. All the materials and laptops were provided, which made it super easy to focus on learning. They even offered food and snacks, which was a really nice touch. The campus itself is amazing, with great facilities for all courses. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and valuable experience!

This place is truly amazing! It offers summer camps where we can participate, strengthen our talents, and make new friends. In addition to the excellent classes, the staff and teachers here are very kind and friendly, especially Ms. Ella, Mr. Paul, and my wonderful teacher Samantha. Also Audio/music camp is one of the bests and you can create your own music!
