The restaurant's food was decent. My friend got a paneer masala dosa, which was good. I got a Sagar special dosa; I didn't like it much. I felt the stuffing was too much inside the dosa, and it was too oily. I got paneer chilli as a starter; it was good. The masala tea I ordered was made with powder (I expected fresh masala tea). We were charged for water, which many restaurants do not.

Tried Sagar, known for it's south indian fare in London recently and can confirm that it was a very familar and homey experience, exactly what I'd get in a big Indian metropolis. You also get the south indian style chinese here, which truly, is it's own genre. We tried the Gobi 65 (Nice), Ghee Podi Dosa (Delightful), and a Mixed Utthapam (Really liked this). The chutneys that came along were good, no complaints. Rasam also decent, but can be improved. But I'm not complaining. Service was attentive and adequate. It is a pure veg place, and you can also have yhings made in no-onion-no-garlic way. Exceeded my jaded expectations. I'd say this will be a reliable go to for the future

Had an amazing experience at Sagar Restaurant in Leicester Square! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic South Indian flavors with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The masala dosa was crispy and packed with flavor, and the thali was a great way to try a variety of dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. Perfect location for a meal before a show. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

The vegan thali was to die for. Finding a vegan paratha has been challenging and this was PERFECTION. Big portion. Big flavours. Busy but efficient and friendly service.
