We had an amazing long weekend at Sanctuary Farm — a truly peaceful and relaxing escape surrounded by beautiful animals and nature. One of the most unique and special aspects of our stay was the freedom to walk around the wild animals without a guide. Being able to explore at our own pace and experience the animals up close in such a natural, respectful way made the whole stay feel incredibly authentic and memorable. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a live classical music performance during our stay. The food was outstanding: fresh, healthy, and thoughtfully prepared. We loved learning that the milk and cheese are made from the farm’s own cows, which made the experience feel even more special. I would highly recommend visiting the restaurant! The accommodation was cosy, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were also super friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The horses are clearly very well cared for, and riding among the wildlife was a truly unforgettable experience. We also noticed some guests camping, which looked like a fantastic way to enjoy the farm and its surroundings. Overall, a wonderful and truly unique stay that we would highly recommend!

Nice, rustic cottage surrounded by open space and lots of wildlife. The property was clean, well-equipped and the bed comfortable. Staff were polite, courteous and couldn't have been more helpful. Given its relatively remote location we were surprised to find the wifi was better than in many places in the UK. The restaurant menu was small but all the food was excellent - amongst the best we experienced during our two weeks in Kenya. Of the potential activities, we would highly recommend the boat trip on Lake Naivasha and the night safari. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rose Cottage, its rustic charm may not suit those who prefer a modern, posh hotel with facilities such as gyms and pools.

Camping for one night with our own tent. Fantastic location. You pay conservation fee at the gate seperate from the camping fee. Good camping grounds and hot water showers. Bathroom spaces could use some upgrade but are fully functional. They have space and accomodate a fire close to the tent, you have to pay for the wood. The restaurant close by offers good quality food. Literally everyone working on the compound is extremely kind and very service minded. There are ample activities around - horse riding and just an independent hike on the grounds was exciting. Also highly recommend the night drive to see the hippos out of the water, and the Hyena's. All in all a wonderful experience.

We had the best stay at sanctuary farm and can’t recommend it enough. We stayed in the watchtower which was a delightful standalone house where you can watch all the wildlife from your bed. The house is compact but has everything you need and the hosts put some milk from their farm in the fridge which was great for a morning coffee. We loved sitting outside and watching the zebra walk past. We dined at the onsite restaurant, Kijiko, which was easily one of the best meals we had in Kenya. Overall this was one of our best stops on our 2 month east Africa trip.
