When we were interviewing different wedding planners, Samiya immediately stood out — not just because of her extensive experience with fusion weddings, but also because of how approachable, warm, and easy to work with she was. From the very beginning, she understood our vision and became a strong advocate when working with vendors, helping us make confident decisions along the way. Later, Katrina joined the team and brought an incredible level of organization and thoughtfulness that kept everything running smoothly. She was always ready to go above and beyond, and her smile and positive energy made the entire planning process more joyful. The entire SB Events team was exceptional and consistently went the extra mile — we wouldn’t have had it any other way. From day one, we said we wanted to actually enjoy our wedding weekend, and we absolutely did — all thanks to their incredible effort. Even behind the scenes, the was amazing, always available to answer questions and manage details we hadn’t even considered. Guest experience was very important to us, and we received countless compliments during and after the wedding about how seamless, organized, and well-run everything felt. The team anticipated needs before we even realized them — like laying down tarp on the grass for the ceremony after it rained the night before (and personally making a last-minute trip to Lowe’s to get it!). Their communication was excellent, and they worked tirelessly to ensure both of our cultures were thoughtfully and beautifully represented throughout the celebration. SB Events didn’t just plan a wedding — they created an experience that was beautiful, stress-free, and full of joy. We are so grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and heart in bringing our vision to life, and we truly could not recommend them enough.
Working with SB Events was the best decision of our entire wedding process. We wish we would have signed on earlier than we did! Everyone on the team was a great listener and was meticulous. We had a fusion wedding of sorts and they helped us balance tradition with modern elements. Samiya had a wider range of contacts beyond the preferred vendors and we ended up using several of them for our events! Their services were comprehensive and there wasn’t anything that they didn’t have the resources to do if needed. They tailored the entire process to our needs and would ask if we needed more or less check ins. Kennedy, our lead planner, was on top of everything and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Hoping we will have a reason to work with them again in the future!
We had a great experience working with Kennedy and the SBE team. From the start, Kennedy was incredibly professional, kind, and organized. He was always on top of things and made sure every detail was handled on time. The team is knowledgeable, and it showed in how smoothly everything came together. On the day of the wedding, the team brought such great energy. Their positive attitudes helped set the tone for the day, and they kept things running seamlessly behind the scenes so we could just relax and enjoy it all. Couldn’t have asked for a better team to support us!
It has taken me quite a few days to recover from the wedding festivities and post this review. We worked with SB Events for my daughter's destination wedding in Barcelona in July. I loved the fact that we were paired with Kennedy right after the first couple of meetings. This is something SB Events (Samiya) does SO well. It is important to make sure the planner fits the personalities of the families!! Having had a less than great experience with another vendor for my son's wedding, I cannot say enough good things about SB events' process. My daughter and SIL loved working with Kennedy as did we. He was calm, collected and VERY diplomatic even when tensions were high and believe me-tensions can get high with multiple type A personalities! The planning was not only fun but also very thorough. The execution for the days of our events was fantastic. Katrina was our on the ground person for making sure the guests got on the buses and were on time. We highly recommend SB Events for any of your events. Don't even think twice about it! It will be money well spent!
