SC Tax have recently assisted me with a disclosure for HMRC as well as a self-assessment return. In both cases they were professional, accurate, kept to their timescales well and were a pleasure to deal with. They also found a saving on my self-assessment that covered their fees! Recommended.

Beware. I booked an appointment with a chartered accountant. I got an assistant with no qualifications who told me that the person with whom I booked an appointment "had a baby" and couldn't let me know that in advance. Felt very scammy and I reported the firm. There is zero chance I would give confidential financial details to a firm like this. The reviews of this "business" appear fake - they're all single sentences from users with 2-3 reviews in the same time period. Everything about SC Tax screams "SCAM"!! BEWARE. Update: a man claiming to be the owner called me six times to complain that I’d given his “business “ a poor review. He was belligerent and repeatedly called me after I asked him to stop contacting me. This was a classic bait-and-switch scam, followed up by a stalker like assault via my mobile phone. I had to block him. I’ll be reporting him to the police and filing an ethics complaint with the society for chartered accountants. Let my experience be a lesson: you do not want to engage with this firm.
