10+++ When my lawyer retired, I wasn't that happy with the one who took over the practice. So when it came time to sell my house, I started to search. I decided to try Schmidt Law because of the positive reviews and because it was conveniently located on King St. near Division in Cobourg. When I ran into a lot of unexpected challenges, Olga was FANTASTIC. Even when swamped with end of the month closings or off for the weekend, she was professional, helpful, responsive, cheerful and made it clear that she had my back. The latter meant a lot to me because I am a senior woman without a partner, children or any local family. Jennifer Weeks explained everything clearly and assured me that they would be in touch when the matter was finally closed - or if there were any surprises (she didn't expect any :) I met Scott briefly for a signature (- and his dog :) a couple of times) when I dropped off materials they had requested. Reception staff were very welcoming and ensured that I stayed hydrated. Thank you! In addition to being in a convenient location, the space is really homey. It has kept its heritage feel but with a fresh and updated look. Not like a stuffy lawyer's office at all. LOL The board room had art on the wall that I think may be from local artists. I would guess this office has close ties to the community and supports Cobourg. Well done, people. It was a pleasure dealing with you.
