*If this post is still up, my contract has still not been fulfilled* DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY: I paid Chris $9500 for crawl space encapsulation, and the contract states if floors haven’t laid flat, then Scorpion will replace the floors as well. This was August 2022. The “encapsulation” lets an absurd amount of water in as the seals are NOT water resistant. So that was a waste of money. Chris has claimed to schedule me to fix it 1/7/2023, 6/29/2023, 7/24/2023, 8/14/2023, 8/24/2023, 8/30/2023, 9/1/2023, 12/29/2023 (just ignored me this time), 2/16/2024, 3/12/2024, 4/1/2024, 4/18/24. He has not fixed the problem, truly put me on a schedule to fix the poor work, or made any real plan to fix our floors. $9500 down the drain. I have zero evidence that this company is worthy of your business, and as long as this review is still up, Chris has not fulfilled my contract, fixed my crawl space/floors, refunded my money, or been truthful with me about getting the job done. 21 months and counting.

Chris and his sons completed my encapsulation and floor leveling projects today. I crawled into my crawlspace and was pleased to see the dehumidifier and sub pump hooked up and working. I counted at least 13 of the 18 jacks already placed. They will be back in two weeks to add more jacks and adjust existing jacks after they have let it settle. I am grateful that they were able to complete this job before the one year memorial of my husband. The floors of my house already feel safer and I know my husband would want me to take care of the house and be safe. I should have taken a few pictures of the dehumidifier and the jacks, but here is one of the encapsulation. I am pleased with their work. I appreciate that Chris was good about texting me back when I reached out.

We hired this company to encapsulate under our 2 year old (at the time) house due to a mold issue from humidity in our crawl space in August 2022. Chris, the owner, was very prompt and helpful in the beginning. He completed the job and we were satisfied up until August 2023. The dehumidifier unit he installed froze and completely quit working. My husband contacted him and he came to inspect what was going on the next day. After then is when the issues began. My husband texted and called him personally and his company office from August 2023 until now, Feb 2024, with little to no help. Before installation we were made aware the unit is covered under a 5 year warranty and they would come for annual inspections. For seven months we have tried to get our defected unit replaced under the warranty. Chris had many excuses. He would say “I’m trying but no one will email me back”, or “they’ve shipped it but it might be lost.” I finally pleaded with him to tell me who I could call at the manufacturing company but he said I couldn’t due to it being under “his account” in January. I had finally had enough of his excuses and crawled under the house to find the manufacturer and called them myself. I called one time and sent one email with all of the info the manufacturers needed on Feb 8, 2024 and the new unit arrived today. All that had to be done was a little effort to advocate for his customers. I 100% do not recommend this company if you work hard for your money and only request to get what you paid for.

Paid them to do attic insulation, put vents on the crawlspace, and vent the dryer exhaust. Took them a while but they finally came out and did the job a couple months later but messed up and forget to do the dryer vent. I mentioned the problem and he said he'd fix it later that week when he was back in town but never they showed up. I texted multiple times over the last few months but have only gotten a text back once where he said "he'd fix it this week" again. It's been another month and he's ghosted me again. Just want the job I paid for finished, it's been 6 months. ***Update: dryer vent has been fixed as of today after writing the review. Also as the comment below mentions, he did mention the health issue after the initial delay, but after being ignored for so long, I was not sure what to believe anymore. Sorry for not mentioning that earlier.
