Had to come back into the shop due to my purchase being broken. The lady behind the till recognised me from before when I came in with my 2 young children. She noticed that they were not with me at the till. The item was bulky and buying it had been a struggle with the kids being with me in the shop, so this time I had left them in the car (in sight from the tills). She put on her high vis and stood watch over the car while I dealt with the exchange. Very thoughtful and helped me out a lot

A great place to get what you need at good prices. One thing I can't understand is the stock of items, if you ordered a generator or something of similar size I can understand they may not have space in the warehouse so you might have to wait a couple of days for it, but the other day I ordered 5 coping saw blades and a circular saw blade for my skill saw, hardly big items, I had to wait nearly a week for them to be in, I reckon a box of 2000 coping saw blades would take approximately 2sq foot of space and a box of 100 skills saw blades about the same, all this in an 85000 or maybe bigger sq foot warehouse, there must be space to stock these commonly used items .

I am a regular customer of the Abingdon branch and have up until today been completely happy with the service provided. Today, however I visited the branch with my wife and was totally aghast at the poor level of customer service offered. Unfortunately I was served by the manager, Dai, who challenged whether we were entitled to open a trade account. We had only asked about this as on our previous visit a member of staff had offered this to us and we had said we would sort out next time we visited. He seemed to take pleasure in belittling us and proceeded to aggressively challenge the validity of this. We moved onto the items we wished to purchase and we were not able to give the correct item number (jotted down one digit incorrectly) of one item. He offered no assistance to correct our mistake, repeatedly telling us that we were wrong. It was only when we offered to look in the catalogue ourselves that he said he could look for it. He was not shouting, but was talking very loudly, and in an extremely abrupt manner so that all the other staff and customers could hear. At this point my wife said "you are being very aggressive" and suggested we left. This was a very disappointing experience and an appalling example set by this manager to his staff who looked rather intimidated by his actions.
