The experience with Sam at Wayfarer Renovations was outstanding. We purchased an older home with a concrete foundation. It had very tiny windows that let in a bit of light, but at about 4-6 inches in height, you'd be lucky to get cat out, never mind a human. Our daughter and her husband were going to move in and of course, wanting to make this both legal and safe, we decided to have someone create egress windows. Friends who had had this done spoke of some pretty awful experiences. As you can see in the images, other than the flood of light (desired effect) into the basement and minor changes to the earth near the windows, you'd never know anyone was there. The area beside where they worked wasn't really disturbed by the way. The lack of grass is from the former owner's boat. That is where he stored it. Notice as well, that they took great care to avoid any issues with the gas line having check out where the line was supposed to be prior and working with the city on this as well. I have no experience in cost, but frankly based on what I see, Wayfarer Renovations is worth every penny. Sam was very professional and very focused. He let us know what he would charge up front, he itemized what he charged for, and actually ended up finishing earlier than expected. You can't go wrong if you're looking for a real professional. Although we had projects in mind with others, we have decided we don't really need to look anywhere else. Thanks, Sam.
