They are one of the best hairdressers in Downtown Toronto. They understand exactly what you want. I have never been disappointed. At first I took the service from Max (level 4), and today I got this beautiful haircut by Yuki (level 2). They all did great! Price is reasonable too. I highly recommend them.

Love it here!! I’ve been toying with the idea of cutting my hair for months now but was always so nervous, however i finally decided to take the plunge and i couldn’t be happier with my result! i decided to donate my hair and messaged in advance to inform my stylist who carefully measure and cut my hair in sections so it was viable for donation, she cut it super fast and it looks awesome!! i had waist length hair cut to a shoulder length bob and im obsessed! my stylist (Yuki K - level 2) was fantastic and took all my thoughts and considerations into account, i highly recommend her!! my hair feels so soft and smooth and the cut frames my face so beautifully while still being long enough to tie up!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this salon in the past and always had good experiences with Tomi, but my most recent visit was very upsetting (with another hairstylist as Tomi was away). I came in with shoulder-length curly (permed) hair and specifically asked for a light trim at the bottom so it wouldn’t look too heavy at the bottom as my roots grew out. Instead, my hair was cut so short and in such an awkward shape that it was unworkable—even another salon could not correct it. I am now left waiting for my hair to grow back. To make matters worse, when I called them today to find a solution, the receptionist was unable to communicate in English (the hairstylist who cut my hair yesterday also barely spoke any English). I had to ask my mother (who speaks Japanese) to explain the issue, only to be told that I could come back but would need to pay extra to have it fixed. And when I asked for a refund, they said go email the owner. And when I contacted the owner, he simply said, oh it’s already so short, we will refund you, instead of offering a solution to fix it. While I spoke to the owner on the phone, I informed him, I’d be posting a review here. For such an established salon, I expected professionalism and accountability, not dismissal of my concerns. I am extremely disappointed with both the haircut and the way the situation was handled, and I had no choice but to leave a message here to warn anyone who is interested in getting a haircut here. First, you need to speak Japanese and Second don’t expect them to fix the problem if anything goes wrong. The is my FIRST negative Google review, after living in Toronto for 15+ years.

If you’re an Asian guy like me with short, straight hair, Moesan will not disappoint you. The skin fade she gave me is one of the best I’ve ever had. I don’t understand why she’s only Level 2 — maybe that just means the lower the level, the higher the skill!
