I’ve worked with several trainers in the past, but my experience with Shawn has truly been life-changing. From day one, he went far beyond just physical training. Shawn has played an instrumental role in helping me clear my mindset and work through negative limiting beliefs so I can live a healthy lifestyle in all arenas - from sleep, to nutrition, to exercise. I started working with Shawn Phillips about three months ago, and both his program and his coaching have been true game changers. I’ve put off exercising for most of my life. I never particularly enjoyed working out and could never stick with it. When I finally decided it was time to find a trainer, I knew I needed more than just workouts I needed guidance with my diet, my routines, and my overall lifestyle and happiness. From the very start, Shawn has been everything I was looking for and more. He has me tracking my sleep, my meals, and even focusing on mental health. As a recent empty nester, I was feeling somewhat lost and unsure of my purpose after so many years of raising my kids. Not only did I avoid exercise for years, but I also put off addressing my mental health and overall life satisfaction. Shawn has helped me tackle both. We literally sat down and made a list of things I might want to try, and he follows up with me about those piano lessons I mentioned or the flower arranging class I wanted to take. In only 3 months I can see a notable change and I think this may be the first time ever that I am not hiding behind a cover up or shorts at the beach , I have more energy and focus than ever. Shawn has helped me understand that it isn’t just about “exercising”, sleep, nutrition, and pursuing passions are all part of the equation. He keeps every session interesting, and his compassion and genuine love for what he does make all the difference. He’s always exploring and doing deep dives into a wide variety of health and fitness topics, and he’s introduced me to many valuable tools and anti-aging practices. I highly recommend Shawn, for the price of a trainer I also have a nutritionist and life coach!
