We stayed in Abbeville for one night and stopped at Shucks for dinner. It is a lively, happy atmosphere filled with locals (a good sign!) having a great time. The staff and owner are very gracious. I had the charbroiled oysters, they were cooked just right and were very tasty and quite large. My husband had to try the local crawdads and he ate 3lbs! He loved the flavor and how they were seasoned. As we left (on a Saturday night) live music was being played in there outdoor space. Thank you Shucks!

Sat outside with our 3 kids, it was hot but that's southern Louisiana and we had a good time! Oysters were the best charbroiled I've had and I really enjoyed the seafood pasta and gator bites. My wife had the flounder and she enjoyed it. We will definitively be going back for more oysters and seafood!

Good food, good service and nice live music !! Lots of seafood , there are a few non seafood dishes but predominantly all seafood! The bread pudding was soooo good !!

A delightful place with happy people and a clean, family environment. It can be a little noisy but great for families and parties. I loved the collection of recipes for oysters. I did a sampler and the variety was great but the cook so well, the classic is the best. I also had a crab cake appetizer which had a great percentage of quality crab but lacked a certain spice. I appreciate the effort. The bread pudding was artfully prepared but the sauce was a little too sweet and too much. My wife had salmon which was perfectly cooked but also smaller than other restaurants. Get a reservation or come early. The food is popular as it is good.
