We had a great experience working with Rimant Construction and would absolutely recommend them. Martin Taplin, the owner, was professional, communicative, and thoughtful in every phase of the project. We brought him in to help redo our back patio. Martin provided design input on things like where to place the new posts and installed the posts. We are very happy with the final results. In addition, Rimant has done several other projects for us including replacing all of the siding on our garage, repairing dry rot in several areas, and replacing exterior trim that had deteriorated. The quality of the work was excellent across the board. We especially appreciated Martin's approach: he gave us multiple options for how to handle each aspect of the project and explained the pros and cons of each one. He was honest, reliable, and easy to work with. We look forward to hiring Martin and Rimant Construction for future projects.
My project was very small. I had converted a recessed light-well in my kitchen ceiling from florescent tube lights to round LED lights. To finish it off, I needed the light well to be trimmed out with molding—a skill I do not possess. It is important to note, I have a drop ceiling in my kitchen that was constructed during a major remodel in the early 1980’s—the drop ceiling is level but the original ceiling behind it is not. When Martin looked at the project, the very first thing he asked me: “Do you want it to be level, or do you want it to look right?” A question, quite frankly, I would have never thought to ask, yet the difference in the result is striking. Martin explained, if you trimmed it out “level” it would be technically level but never look quite “right.” However, he could adjust the trim to make it look right, even though it would not be technically level. It is that attention to detail—even in an extremely small project—that separates Rimant Construction from others. I love the result and cannot recommend them enough
