Trisha did a wonderful job getting Stevie ready for group classes. When we got to the group classes we realized the group classes are amazing, specifically Ashely!! She is so fun and knowledgeable, she lets you know what you need to be doing/work on without making you feel bad. And all the dogs adore her!! Me and my fur baby couldn’t recommend enough! I know it can be difficult choosing who to trust your fur baby with, but take it from me and Stevie, this is the place to go!
They are amazing!! I struggled to walk my dog (Great Dane) he would always pull me, Jack had some private classes in this office and ever since I am able to walk him and there advance park classes are amazing as well, they listen to all your concerns they help you & guide you with your loving baby (doggy), I highly recommend them !!
I am absolutely so grateful for the Sit means Sit team! Everyone, including the owner, was very welcoming and personable. My dog, Mila, at 6 months old began to struggle with dog and leash reactivity pretty bad. I couldn’t take her anywhere because of the scene she would cause. I took her to SMS and I cross my heart after the first session she retained SO MUCH! Of course the key is consistency at home, but my sweet girl’s brain just absorbed all the training from the jump and after her first 3 sessions her reactivity was pretty much nonexistent. The collar is not harmful at all and it’s more of a tap on the shoulder to remind her to focus on me, especially when we may be in a triggering environment! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would choose Sit Means Sit a million times over!
Was a bit apprehensive that an acceptable level of basic obedience training could be accomplished in 4 sessions (1 daily day camp over 4 weeks), I am happy with the results so far. My yellow lab is a stubborn s.o.b. He is now moving into group classes. A few things to note: Trisha was my primary trainer, though Ashley filled in one week. Both are competent, very patient, and answered all the questions that came up. Sit Means Sit uses e-collars. This is an effective training tool that helps reach desired outcomes. It's not used to inflict pain on the dog. They might also suggest a pinch collar as a supplemental tool. Your dog will thank you with good behavior by giving them structure. Most importantly, you have to be an active participant and do training sessions at home as well as keeping consistent rules. Remember, it's you that is being trained...the dog simply responds to it. Knocked off a star for 1 reason: Off leash confidence in my dog behaving was a high priority for me (consistently reminded throughout) and think more attention could have been given than just 1 session. I have zero off leash trust.
