I can’t say enough great things about Lakeshore Woods Animal Hospital, Dr. Masoud did an amazing job with my dog Mocha’s neuter surgery he was professional, gentle, and made sure Mocha recovered perfectly. A special shout-out to Elle, the receptionist, who was so kind and went above and beyond with follow-up phone calls to check on Mocha’s progress. The clinic itself is clean, welcoming, and well-organized, making every visit stress-free. I highly recommend Lakeshore Woods Animal Hospital to any pet owner looking for top-notch care from a team that truly cares. Thank you for taking such great care of Mocha!

Concerning Experience and Lack of Transparency I am writing this review to provide a clear and factual account of my experience at this clinic during my cat’s final days. My cat was critically ill when I brought her in. Despite her weakness, she was handled in a way that caused her visible distress. The testing process was difficult for her, and the approach did not feel adapted to her condition. This was hard to witness. When her test results were returned, her prognosis was extremely poor. After later seeking both a second and a third opinion from other veterinarians, it became clear that her condition was not realistically treatable and that the severity should have been communicated to me much more directly at the time. Both external opinions expressed concern that I had not been given a clearer understanding of her situation. Instead of a candid discussion about her outlook, I was presented with treatment options that, in hindsight, were not appropriate for her medical state. I was transparent about my financial limitations, yet I still did not receive straightforward guidance on what was realistic or compassionate for her condition. Believing she still had a chance, I returned the following day for fluid therapy. She remained on fluids for approximately five hours. Unfortunately, this did not improve her condition. It only made her uncomfortable and alert for an extended period when rest would have been more appropriate. It was not fair for her to go through that, especially given what I later learned about her true prognosis. I am now left with a significant veterinary bill from procedures that, based on the subsequent professional opinions I received, were unlikely to benefit her. This has added financial strain to an already extremely difficult situation. Given the concerns raised by the external veterinarians I consulted, I am exploring whether it may be appropriate to submit my experience to the provincial veterinary regulatory body for review. My hope is that sharing this experience helps other pet owners make informed and thoughtful decisions about their care.

My dog and I came into this clinic and received by far the best care we have ever experienced. Dr. Sam and the rest of the staff did an amazing job with my dogs care and shared insightful education along with full transparency when providing information on what was going on with my dogs condition. They are very knowledgable and truly have the best intentions with our pets! The whole experience made my dog and I feel comfortable and safe, we couldn't recommend this clinic enough!
