Not impressed with Smartcom HomeTechnologies at all. I had an issue and ended up called customer service. The person who answered the phone didn't answer the phone in a professional manner, they answered the phone with a, "Hello." I had to ask was this Smartcom.... I was then told that the office is closed on the weekends and that someone would call me back the following business day. Also, when the home was built (new construction) the wiring was mixed up in one room and was pointed out to me during my cable appointment. There is absolutely nothing special about overpriced Smartcom. The technology is outdated compared to other home security systems. I was really surprised that the security system can't be paired with other smart devices within my home. And, the app....a joke.

We had a house built thru Atlantic builders which recommended them are figured they would provide great service like Atlantic but we were wrong! Stupid alarm goes off for no reason in the middle of the night, it happened 5 times in 60 days living in our new home! Smartcom home technologies does not seem to care or return phone calls promptly, do not use them if your building a new home!

Service is terrible, they use a contract you signed when you are buried in documents buying a house to hold you to a 30-day cancelation fee but notify you of your first payment within the 30 day window to guarantee they get another payment, when I call customer service for on a technical issue, they immediately offer you a technician visit that once again charges you versus walking you through troubleshooting steps, and even the technician that came to my house told me the company is terrible. DO NOT recommend.

Our home came with this home security system installed. Being a NOVA local, I wanted to support local businesses, and it turned out to be the worst decision ever made. The system beeps erratically, it is overpriced comparer to ADT, and their support sucks. There was a monetary penalty for early cancellation but due the service and poor product we didn't hesitate. It's been 2years since we cancelled this service but their alarm system will beep erratically and at odd hours. Anytime this happens, we have to go down and enter a pin. But it keeps happening. We have contacted their customer service, forwarded to their tech department, Left them a voice note, they never called back. It's been 2 months. Before you use this company read their contract very carefully, and if you want your peace of mind just pretend they don't exist and use a reputable that cares about you and their companies reputation. They deserve no stars at all.
