Valerie has been a true lifesaver for us! We rescued a schnauzer puppy, Luka, that had some issues. The vet diagnosed him with fear aggression and we were devastated! So I called Smarty Paws and Valerie came to the rescue! After her first evaluation she said he didn’t have fear aggression and that he was acting like a spoiled rotten teenager-lol! So we worked with Valerie and now Luka is calm, accepting of other people and very obedient! She really helped us break Luka’s bad habits!! I highly recommend Smarty Paws, they are the best!
Our experience with Valerie was amazing! She was quick in our initial inquiry, worked with my busy work schedule, and helped me learn how to teach my puppy important skills to keep him safe and learn obedience. She was always exceptionally kind, came to my home for all the lessons, modeled the lessons, guided me through practice, then let me go with a plan to work through during the week until our next session. In 4 short weeks our pup learned to sit, walk a leash, focus his attention through distractions, lay on his bed and stay, leave things alone on the floor or drop it if it's in his mouth, stay at an open door, and even "play dead" - the one trick my children wanted him to learn.
