A week ago, I broke a tooth and went to the clinic the next day for a consultation. The dentist was friendly, applied some bonding material, and made the tooth look nice. They told me to return for a follow-up to decide whether I needed a root canal or an implant. At that time, I asked about the implant cost. They couldn’t provide a specific amount, only estimating roughly CAD 4500–5500. was given to me by Dr. Sonia Sharma and then the receptionist told her that the implant cost is way more than that and it could be up to $6000. The next day I called and asked for a precise quote. The receptionist asked me to come in today so the doctor could assess it. When I arrived at 4:15 PM, the dentist said he could only give me a price for a root canal—not for an implant. That triggered a heated argument between me and the receptionist. After that, she scheduled me for Saturday to see an implant specialist. On Saturday, the specialist didn’t even touch my tooth but still gave me an estimate of $6700. Afterwards, I saw a charge of $70 for the consultation. When I called the receptionist to question it, she explained it was a fee for the doctor's time—not the quote itself. It felt like if you went to a store just to ask for a price and they charged you for wasting time. I’ve decided I won’t go back to this clinic. The dentists themselves are good, but the overall experience was frustrating. I’ve recommended this clinic to my wife, brother, and friends in the past—but now I won’t recommend them to anyone. It's not the first time i dealt with dental clinic, to come for a quotation and get charged for it is not right. I have taken quotations from experienced and quality doctors but i never been charged. Also, i never said anything before because of good experience but this time it didn't meet my expectations and also if your team keep using up my insurance then the implant money comes out of my pocket more and this cost is not considered fit for treatment
