We've been coming to this walk in clinic for the last 4-5 years, as our family doctor always books appointments about a month out. This South Calgary Medical Clinic is absolutely the best walk in clinic in the city. All doctors we've seen are consistently professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. All the nurses are patient and kind. We've had nothing but good care at this clinic. Especially when my kids were sick, this is the clinic I trust. One time another clinic prescribed our daughter a wrong medicine that gave her adverse reaction. The doctors at this clinic corrected it and treated her in a timely manner. Another time the doctor sent her to get an x-ray right next building and we came back in an hour for the follow up appointment and medication. I loved it as they caught her chest infection right away. Other clinics would have given me a referral to book an x-ray separately, then come back to the clinic, so the process would've taken about a week at least. I loved the quick service and the collaboration with the xray lab next building. I've been to several other walk ins during these years when I had to go somewhere closer. Nowhere was comparable to this clinic, and now I'm only coming here. The wait time is usually 1-1.5hrs for walk in, which I think is very reasonable.

I had an awful experience at South Calgary Medical Clinic yesterday. One of the doctors (an Asian female doctor) showed absolutely no professionalism or respect during my visit. When I tried to explain my concerns about my stool and gut issues, she brushed them off as if they were minor and unimportant. When I came back to ask about the second surgical clinic she mentioned, she didn’t provide any meaningful details. All she said was that it’s “near Blackfoot Trail,” and when I asked if I’d have to wait seven months to be seen, she raised her voice and said, “Several months, NOT seven months.” She even tried to correct my English grammar, which was completely unnecessary and insulting. By then she had already started chewing food, which made the experience feel even more unprofessional. The way she looked at me was rude and dismissive, and she repeatedly asked, “What do you expect me to do?” while I was explaining my situation. Her attitude throughout the visit made it clear she had no interest in providing proper care, and I highly doubt she is even a properly certified doctor based on how she behaved. Her conduct was discriminatory, disrespectful, and utterly lacking in empathy. If I could give zero stars, I would. I strongly discourage anyone from going to this clinic. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion — and that was absolutely not the case here.

Dr. Wierzbicki was great. As was the woman (sorry, missed her name) at the front counter for calling me about my forgotten water bottle so quick. Thank you to the kind nurse who took my blood pressure too. All around well done.

I went there today (Sunday) and have been to this walk in clinic twice in the past 2 years. They are pleasant and have told me the length of wait time which sometimes can arrange but I have typically been seen between an hour or two max. You have to remember that it is a walk in clinic and you don’t have an appt so I feel they try their best. When I have been seen it has also been a pleasant experience. Today I was seen by doctor Davies and he took his time with my concerns and was thorough all around. In the past I’ve seen a female doctor and I only recall good service. I’m grateful for this walk in clinic as my family doctor may not see me as quick. Thank you !
