Pet owners, beware: please read this before choosing this clinic. My 10-year-old cat recently had dental surgery here. It was over $2,000 to remove two teeth, the most expensive vet in Windsor… with dozens of suspiciously generic reviews from new accounts. A few days after the surgery, I noticed redness and irritation on his shaved arm where the IV went in. I called the clinic. I was told they would not treat him unless I paid more. I explained that I was never warned this could happen. The manager told me it only happens “0.1% of the time.” Is it really that rare for cats to lick a wound??? At no point did anyone offer me a cone or explain how to prevent this. Now my cat is in pain, he can’t even climb onto the couch. The staff member coldly told me she will “restock the medication” since I couldn’t pay. Imagine, 4 years of going to this vet and thousands spent. Never caused an issue. Only to have my cat abandoned post-surgery. Pet owners deserve more compassionate and honest support. (Clinic responded to my review then deleted their comment after my edit—>) Edit: The vet did not offer options as they claim. There was no cheaper medication, and they were not willing to give even a discount on the checkup. Actually, the vet wouldn’t even speak over the phone. The manager or whoever hung up in my face after we had a conversation about how I can’t pay. Then they ghosted me while my cat was sick due to their own lack of care and communication. This clinic is large and successful. Please support smaller clinics in our beautiful community in Windsor. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

What an amazing place! I thought i was in a difficult situation with my shih tzu. Her paws were matted and she had run through some brush. She was covered in burrs and wouldn't let me touch her. A friend recommended South Windsor Animal Hospital, and I couldn't be any happier. They were able to get us in right away. All the staff were fantastic and caring. They were able to go above and beyond my expectations. I will be a client of theirs from now on.

I recently took my puppy to South Windsor Animal Hospital for a shot, and I was really impressed with the care and kindness we received. The staff was incredibly friendly and made both me and my puppy feel comfortable and at ease. The vet explained everything clearly, and the whole experience was positive.
