My wife's car had failed its MOT due to needing so welding due to corrosion. The MOT station I used didn't do welding and recommended Southern Co, it was about mid day I picked up my wife's car and drove straight to Southern Co and they could not have been anymore helpful, they put the car on their ramps straight away and inspected what needed doing. I was amazed when they told me they would do it that very afternoon and have it ready for collection later that day ! Unbelievably good service. When the work had been done (and I paid) I took the car back to the MOT station and it passed. Thanks to Southern Co for slotting the car in so I could get my wife mobile again. It was so good dealing with people that go out of their way to help not anything like the franchise dealers who treat you more like a number. I would recommend them and definitely use for any future work our cars might need.

If you read any of the negative reviews they’re all pretty much the same. I took my car in for an MOT and full service. Received an email with a long list of items highlighted in red, was told over the phone these were all urgent and some were a safety risk. I received a further call stating there were more issues which could be a fire hazard, I asked to be called back so I had some time to make a decision, upon calling back they had taken a closer look and the issue wasn’t as bad as they first thought. It seems to me that a lot of time is spent searching your vehicle for issues, using wording in the email you receive and with calls in such a way to scare you into getting work done that may not be neccessary. I asked for evidence that any of this work needed doing, only to be provided with the official inspection report (after majority of the work had been completed), which had some of the red issues highlighted in amber and were not as urgent as they made out, and no photos or evidence of the most problem areas The MOT fail document also mentioned these as advisories only and not a fail. I sent an email complaint, I had been mislead and not given all the information about my vehicle before having to make a decision on what work needed doing to my car. After having my car for a week due to parts needing to be ordered in, I now have a bill of just shy of £1700. No evidence that this work needed doing in the first place and feel like I have been mislead, and pressured into getting additional work done. I used to recommend this garage to friends and family, however after my most recent experience it’s become apparent that unfortunately this is how they operate. I will not be returning

What a lovely bunch of people in this family run garage. Lovely assortment of snacks and drinks whilst waiting for your car which was a nice surprise. Very helpful and friendly. I left happy. Thank you

Great service and friendly helpful staff. Everything ran smoothly. My car failed on what I new was obvious, quick turn around after rectifying the failures (wiper blades and a lamp). Recommended.
