I have had excellent Service from SP Mobile at Zetland. My mobile S21 ultra was not functioning correctly. The volume side button fell out and would not function. The team fixed the problem and did not even charge me for their time. The team always provided honest opinion and solutions. I can highly recommend SP Mobile for all mobile phone repairs at fair and affordable prices no matter how old the phone maybe.

This business is an absolute scam. What was meant to be a $395 screen repair led to me being $1,600 out of pocket and wasting months of my time. The short version: I sent my iPhone 15 Pro for a screen replacement for $395, and they returned it completely non-functional. The damage caused by their terrible servicing led to me having to get an entirely new phone. I've now reported this scam business to the ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission) and am actively pursuing further legal action. The full story: I sent my phone to get the screen fixed. It was quoted $395, and they returned it with a screen that couldn't even lock, with distortions to the colour and UI. How is that acceptable in the first place? It's also worth noting that the OS notified me that the parts installed weren't genuine. They replaced the faulty screen with a new one. The new screen also generated a tonne of heat, and the front camera wasn't working. On a full charge I would have only 4 hours of battery. I mistakenly decided to live with the annoyances. In February, the phone refused to turn on, so I took it back to them, and they told me that there was a new issue with the motherboard. I had it checked with another authorized Apple service center beforehand (Mac Centre) to get another opinion, and they mentioned that it could be cascading issues due to poor installation. I honestly just wanted to get the diagnosis from SP, I didn't want them to try and fix my phone. Why would I want to get it fixed after they've eroded my trust several times through dodgy repairs? There was a miscommunication with the staff member who took my phone and tried to fix it without my permission, and it took over a week with very little updates. When they said the phone was ready for pick up, they didn't mention anything about a faulty front camera, the inability to connect to wifi or cellular, how it can never be charged through the port, or how not being able to connect with the charging port the phone could not be able to be connected to a computer to be diagnosed or reset. This was all under the promise from the owner that my phone would still be working. The new screen protector that I just put on was removed (not compensated or replaced), there were distortions on a dodgy screen, and the UI was still misaligned; there was also black adhesive residue on the back of my phone, clearly a sign of a terrible installation. This was the state my phone as given back to me with the promise from the owner that there wouldn't be anymore issues with it. How is this acceptable?! I took my phone to Apple to get it reviewed, and they mentioned they've never seen anything as bad as this. Not only that, but the sheer cost of replacing the damage from SP's dodgy fixes would've exceeded the cost of a new phone ($1,200). After talking with the owner to ask for a refund for the initial screen repair and compensation for the damages to the phone, he simply dismissed my request. How is that for customer service? Seems like a scam business to me. To sum it up, imagine asking someone to renovate your house, and instead, they burn it down to the ground and take no liability or acknowledge their responsibility. Do yourself a favour, and stay far away from this place, please take your devices to the official stores instead! Save yourself time, money, and the frustration of dealing with repeated incompetence.
