I had an incredible experience at the J.W. Marriott Edmonton Hotel Spa. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was warm, professional, and attentive. I booked a massage with Thamara, and she was absolutely amazing. She made me feel more than welcome and created a calming and comfortable environment right away. Throughout the session, she consistently checked in to ensure I was comfortable and adjusted the pressure as needed. Her care and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and I truly felt like I was in great hands. Used to be my favorite spa — now a major disappointment. We planned our anniversary around this visit, but the experience was chaotic and unprofessional. Staff were constantly slamming doors and treating the relaxation area like their break room. My RMT had the same careless energy — the massage was the worst I’ve ever had. To top it off, tipping 20% was mandatory. Change rooms lacked towels, toilets, even basic items like combs. No one asked how our visit was, despite obvious dissatisfaction. Over $530 spent, and we left more stressed than when we arrived. Won’t be returning.
