This is a very small area with limited treatment rooms in a historic building. I think the hotel made ample use of the space they had, but this is not a spa experience. We booked two massages as a couple and were offered a tranquility room immediately following our massages where we could hang out for 15 or 20 minutes. We were offered a wine and nuts/dried fruit. An 80 minute massage is $480, which I found to be very expensive, especially considering limited amenities. My massage room was very cold, and when I asked about heating the bed, I was told the foam was thick and it would take a long time. The room had cool air blowing directly on me. Again, when asked about this, I was informed that most of their spa guests are of a “certain age”. I think that means hot menopausal women! After asking about the temp the masseuse’s attitude seemed to shift. She delivered a decent massage, but didn’t seem eager to please.
