I have no experience with this location in person. My experience and review is based on a telephone inquiry and the effort of response being trauma informed and practicing EDI-AR. I had called to inquire about a personal matter I am experiencing at another school and seeking advisement on system navigation or what are standard or best practices if my situation had occurred at their location so I could gauge if my experience is "normal" or how to approach it differently if it was abnormal. It was nice to have hypothetical answers. I felt acknowledged, heard, validated and treated with positive regard and truly respected. I was given a generic idea of policy or process, given some ideas of how to find answers or create resolutions while not being judged or put down for my vulnerability and inquisitive nature trying to understand the general predicament I was in through a religious/private school perspective. I had done alot of calling locally within my province or jurisdiction to try and find a means of measure when trying to ask about navigation for accountability and was met with bureaucracy or systemic gaps. From the staff I engaged with at this location on the phone, I was left better understanding of my situation through the eyes of best practices. I am very thankful for the call back and attempt to assist me. It's hard to know what to do when accountability, responsibility or resolution process is not quite clear and left to feel ostracised. This location gave me their precious time and ear not being a parent or having a student at their location. If they can show love and empathy to someone who outreached in a time of grief: they can surely likely do wonders for their pupils and families in good times and bad times. I am forever grateful.

Had an amazing high school experience here. I loved learning about other people's religions beyond my own, participating in community service, and playing a part in the Drama Society. Would not trade my learning experience here for any other.

Please do not listen to John Davis and what he says about the school. St. Paul's high school is an amazing highschool, and never once has a teacher abused his or her authority during my experiences there which are from 2004-present (2013). I'm guessing he graduated in 1945 or earlier whenever teachers were still allowed to use physical punishments. You get a high quality education. This does not say that it is in any way *better* than other private schools, but the atmosphere that you grow in is unmatched and does an amazing job of preparing you for university. Religion is not forced on you either. All they ask is that you respect the fact that is it a catholic school, although i went to school there with students from backgrounds such as Judaism, Muslim, and others, and they were all respected. The fact that it is an all boys school does not in anyway hinder a students social ability with females, and all students are not gay either. In my experience, i had one openly gay student in my grade, and was best friends with him anyway. Enough said on that topic. Amazing school to attend for sports, and rumors about students being recruited in exchange for free tuition is a blatant lie. The dress code is in effect for reasons such as bullying, and so that students to not wear inappropriate clothing. I have gotten used to this, and much prefer seeing students dressing classy instead of with... whats the word.... swag? On that topic, St Paul's is by far one of the most bully-free schools in Manitoba. Overall...academics are not as difficult as people make it seem, teachers are not strict compared to teachers at other private schools, and I am personally proud to graduate from this school.

Although it is hard, with all that homework and all the extracurriculars, it is a great school to go to, it is a lovely community and welcomes all who are willing to be open minded and accepting

St. Paul's High School is a educational institution.
