Been getting my hair cut by Marina for many years, and she has never disappointed me. She's attentive, takes time to listen to your needs but will also give helpful input. You can feel that she cares for the work she does and it shows when your hair it cut beautifull! I cannot imagine going elsewhere for a haircut.

Disappointed after years of loyalty. I’ve been coming to this salon for 2–3 years for the same service: wash, blow-dry, and straighten for £35. I booked the same as always, but when I arrived, the stylist (Maria) only washed and blow-dried my hair. When I asked about straightening, she said I was only booked for 45 minutes and didn’t have time. At the start, she asked me what style I wanted, and I clearly said straightened with tight curls on the sides—so it was obvious what I expected. At no point did she explain there was a time limit or that straightening wouldn’t be included. If she had, I would’ve clarified straight away. As a regular client, this lack of communication was really disappointing. I left feeling unheard and let down. Follow up message to hairdresser reply: Thank you for your response. I appreciate the explanation, but the issue wasn’t a misunderstanding—it was poor communication and assumption. When Maria asked me what style I wanted, I clearly said straightened with tight curls on the sides. That alone should have made it obvious that straightening was expected. I’ve been coming to this salon for years for the exact same service—wash, blow-dry, and straighten—so I had every reason to expect the same unless told otherwise. If there was a time restriction or change in booking, that should’ve been made clear before starting. To add to that, I don’t believe the blow-dry was done to a high standard either. As someone with African hair, a proper finish requires straightening—a blow-dry alone is not enough, and the result didn’t meet the standard I’m used to here. I left feeling disappointed and let down. I hope this experience leads to clearer communication going forward and better consideration for different hair types.
