Great group of people at Sun Automotive. I’ve taken my car to the Springfield location and most recently the Eugene campus location and they treated me and my car very well. They were thorough in their inspection and they took care of my cars needs within 2 days! 😮 I’m grateful for their friendly and down-to-earth staff. It made me feel more welcomed to chat with a team that knows their abilities and doesn’t put on airs. They are the real deal. Will definitely take my car back if it has any issues in the future. Excellent experience throughout the entire process. Layne was extremely helpful, taking the time to explain what was needed for my repair and talking through a hierarchy of work that was needed. Service was timely, and the courtesy shuttle made getting to/from work easy. Great service all around! Stoked to have a neighborhood mechanic for future maintenance.

I originally took my Ford Escape in because it developed an issue with its cooling system. Turned out a lot more than that was wrong with the car, and Sun gave me a full listing of problems they found, itemized, with repair estimates and even photos. I opted to have them do not just the cooling system fix but also all of the recommended repairs and checks, because I would rather pay the extra money right away than risk something breaking more (resulting in a more expensive repair, or worse) later. This naturally took some extra time, but I was kept updated on the status and picked up the car only two days later. At which point I was told they had discovered an oil leak (I suspect it was caused by my using one of the quick oil change places a month earlier) that needed to be addressed. I was provided an estimate for that repair, and some days later I took the car back in to have that done. Every time I went in I had a highly pleasant experience -- apart from the bad news, of course, but that's no one's fault -- and was treated with kindness and respect. For both appointments they were also able to get me in first thing on Monday morning, so 2-3 business days after the day the appointment was arranged. I would definitely recommend Sun Automotive for any car repair needs you may have. This was the first time I had taken my car to a shop (I've only owned it for a few months), and I won't need to be looking for a different one for any future repairs or routine checks.
