I cannot recommend our son's Montessori school, Starwood Academy, highly enough. From the moment he stepped into the classroom at just 4 months old, we knew he was in the right place. The mixed-age classrooms fostered an environment where language development soared, thanks to interaction with older peers. The diversity of the school enriched his learning experience, exposing him to different cultures and perspectives. One of the most remarkable aspects of the Montessori approach is the emphasis on allowing children to learn at their own pace and readiness. Our son flourished under this philosophy, gaining confidence as he tackled new challenges and explored his interests independently. The freedom to move around the classroom was crucial for a child his age, allowing him to stay engaged and focused. The classroom guide played a pivotal role in our son's development, even assisting with potty training. From a young age, he impressed others with his advanced language skills and well-developed sequence skills. This is a testament to the nurturing and supportive environment provided by the school. As circumstances beyond our control necessitate a transition to another school, we are filled with gratitude for the staff and their intentional work. Our son's time at Starwood has set a strong foundation for his future learning and growth. We will always cherish the memories and the impact this school has had on our family.

Words can not express how wonderful Starwood Montessori has been for my daughter. My daughter started at Starwood when she was two years old. The staff asked me about her personality to be able to place her with a teacher that would best fit her personality. Her teacher has been one of the best teachers I have ever known. I can see how much she loves her students, cares about them, and is a perfect role model for them. I have enjoyed watching my child blossom over the past year with improving her social skills, independence, working in a classroom, and basic life lessons. She has learned so much educationally and talks about what she is learning which has been helpful to practice at home. The staff at Starwood is professional, child centered, personal, warm, and so helpful for both first time parents and their children. The staff is positive and they all know the children well and keep up with how they are in the classroom. The director of the school gets involved with the teachers and parents and takes care of doing what is best for each child (she knows them by name). As my first experience sending my daughter out into the community I could not have asked for a better place than Starwood Montessori. I have and will continue to talk to other parents about how wonderful this program, environment, and staff are for the most important children in their lives.

We highly recommend Starwood Academy of Frisco. I love the Montessori approach to education and Starwood is serious about their commitment to Montessori principles and practices. The environment is beautiful. The students are taught grace and courtesy along with their academics, which contributes to a peaceful learning atmosphere. Teachers and administrators are respectful and kind. We have had the same teacher for the last several years (as is the case in Montessori environments) and she has been amazing for my student. She is fun, and engages the students, but she has their respect and handles any issues that arise. The Spanish, Drama, Music and Athletic Development teachers are also excellent. We have had a wonderful experience there.

Our son has been attending Starwood for almost a year. The teachers, management, and front desk staff are amazing. We have seen tremendous growth in his communication, verbal, and autonomous life skills during his time at Starwood. Most importantly, he enjoys going to school and loves his teachers. Thankful we have such an amazing school that is available to our community.
