Stavna Ballet

My 11 year old daughter loves Stavna! After trying several other dance studios, we found Stavna a couple years ago. It has a great location and gives dancers not only the opportunity to have a recital each spring, but also gives them the experience of participating in a full length ballet every winter. We would never think of leaving! Not only has my daughter learned excellent technique with ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern dance, but she has also become a part of a dance family. She has built beautiful friendships with her classmates and has had excellent role models in the older dancers who look out for her and help her with performances. The teachers are talented and caring, and my daughter loves going to class each week. Thank you, Stavna!

Performances are captivating. The Academy is enriching. The entire Stavna experience is inspiring. Stavna is exactly what I wanted for my daughter. The quality of instruction is unmatched in Richmond. This is real ballet with proper technique and imaginative choreography. I love the balance of classical ballet with a contemporary edge. Equally important is the culture - it’s healthy, kind and disciplined. The teachers truly care for the students. And it’s appropriate - you won’t find inappropriate music or costuming at Stavna. The icing on the cake is exposure to the professional ballet company. We are thrilled to be a part of Stavna.
