JP Hair Salon is A++++. Best salon in Toronto/Markham/Richmond Hill area. I have been a customer here for 15+ years. Jacky provides the best service and recommendations for hairstyle. He is very knowledgeable and skillful. I have very thick and slightly curly hair and it is extremely hard to handle. He is the ONLY one that takes care of my hair and know what fits me the best.

I went to this salon for a haircut for the first and also the last time. Raymond really doesn’t know how to cut women’s long hair and ruined my hair. If a stylist doesn’t know how to cut hair properly, they shouldn’t take clients. I’m really upset.

Went to this salon just a day before the lockdown on Sunday (22nd Nov) and I have to say my experience was simple, clear and straight-forward (splendid if I must conclude with one word). Would like to thank Alex (the stylist hairdresser who took my request) specifically! I called 5 minutes before they opened and the first staff who answered my call told me there was no appointments left as they were fully booked for the day. However, as I was super desperate because I messed up my hair badly by cutting it on my own the night before...then the staff asked around for anyone who could squeeze in time for me and there he was - Alex! He quickly told me his available slot and dingdong, he saved my nightmare with that call at first. FYI, I am not a big fan of salons due to my previous uncanny experiences and hair disasters, I was really nervous while commuting to JP Hair Salon thinking it could be a mistake again. However, I was saved this time. As soon as I got in, Alex was already waiting and ready to take me in. He asked me about what haircut was in my mind and I told him straight with reference pictures of the desire result and silhouette. He examined my hair with precision, compared to the references and expressed to me with his utmost opinions about what he can do and what I shouldn’t expect. Well, what can I ask for when the hair was ruined by my own hands first...he was flexible and I felt I was in good hands, felt in peace as soon as I entered the salon so that was a great start. Since I was a bit tight in budget, I asked to proceed to cutting straight away even though it was mandatory to wash my hair at the salon. However, they were very kind and understanding, I was allowed to wet my hair entirely for better management and cut precision, as advised by Alex. During the whole cutting experience, I can say that I felt comfortable and calm. Alex wasn’t just exceptionally skilled, focused but also a reliable advisor. It helped that he was not very vocal while working because it makes me feel secure that he is concentrating and thinking ahead of his next step to perfect every strand cut. Truth is, I can’t explain how happy I was and still am with my new and fixed look =) Thank you very much Alex and JP Hair Salon, I’m definitely going back next time, my time and money was so worth it. Keep up the good work and kindness please! PS: The other staffs seem very friendly too as I overheard some of them chatting with a very old senior, that was sweet! Also the salon is neat, tidy and clean, they have very high standards about keeping their staffs, customers and environment safe! So big thumbs up!
