I brought my 11-year-old son to Salon Sugar in Blainville for a haircut with John, and it was such a great experience. Since the pandemic, I had taken on the role of his personal hairdresser, but now that he’s getting older and wants to look more stylish, it was time for something new. My son is naturally a bit shy and doesn’t always express his emotions openly, but after his haircut with John — which ended with a cool finishing touch of hair powder instead of the usual paste — something shifted. As we walked out of the salon, he looked at himself, smiled, and said, “Mom, I think I just got myself a barber.” 😊 Thank you, John, for making my son feel confident and cool. You’ve gained a new loyal client — and I think I’ve officially retired from my barber role at home!

I’ve been here once before and i was very pleased with how my curly cut turned out and the hairdresser was very pleasant. A couple of weeks later, I decided to go shorter and I regret choosing this salon instead of going to a curly hair specialist. Nancy was my hairdresser and although she was a very nice person, she did not cut my hair how i asked for it to be cut at all. She did something completely different from the photos i showed her so now i’m left with hair that doesn’t even reach my shoulders, when i asked for shoulder length hair. I asked for bangs as well but with the way my hair has been cut, it doesn’t even look like i have any, it just looks like layers. I would have said something at the salon but i was trusting the process because, from my experience, with curls, you should style your hair at home because it always looks better that way. I was extremely unsatisfied with how my “curly cut” turned out and the only positive about this whole experience was the scalp massage that came along with the washing. Nancy was very sweet but if you aren’t able to cut curly hair, be straightforward so i don’t have to go home with hair that i hate!!

My two daughters and I just returned from our appointment with Sabrina at Le Salon Sugar. We are extremely happy with both the look and feel of our hair, and the level of professional and caring service she provided. Sabrina actually listened and cut just the way we wanted, but also gave solid explanations and advice for the style and look we were seeking. My daughters don't normally like their hair to be cut but came away from this appointment beaming, because of the extra care and personal attention from Sabrina. Highly recommend!
