We hired Sunrise Construction for a complete, whole-house renovation that began in September 2022 and was completed in June 2023. The Good: Quality and Execution Overall, we were happy with the initial renovation work. The quality of the construction was high, and the team showed good attention to detail throughout the project. The work was finished within a reasonable timeframe, and for the first two years, we enjoyed a beautiful home. The Major Concern: Warranty and Follow-Up The reason for the reduced rating stems from a serious post-completion issue and a disappointing warranty response. In May 2025, a plumbing leak occurred, which caused significant damage to our kitchen ceiling. It was determined the leak was caused by an unsealed escutcheon plate in the upstairs bathroom shower, missed by the plumber during the renovation. While the company was responsive and the leak was correctly diagnosed and repaired within two weeks, the subsequent action has been unacceptable. Despite multiple follow-ups over the past five months, the damaged ceiling has still not been repaired. This is a major structural and aesthetic issue that should have been addressed immediately under warranty. A company that prides itself on quality construction must also stand behind its work and provide timely, comprehensive support for repairs. Being unresponsive to numerous e-mails and voicemails is unprofessional and disrespectful, especially after such a major project. Conclusion and Recommendation Would I recommend them? No. The core renovation work was high-quality and detail-oriented. However, the failure to complete the necessary warranty repair five months later casts a major shadow over their professionalism and commitment to customer service after the final payment. This delay has been a significant source of frustration.

Mike and his staff, working with Michelle of The Nook Design Co, helped us create an absolutely beautiful new kitchen. They were very thoughtful in creating lovely designs and responding to our needs. We also really appreciated their kindness in providing solutions for problems with flooring, plumbing, wiring, ceiling headers and other matters that needed to be addressed in our older house. The skilled trades people who worked for Mike did high quality work. Thanks everyone!

Beware!! I would not recommend this company if my life depended on it! We hired them to replace our roof. They didn’t follow manufacturer’s guidelines, we withheld balance of payment due and they ended up taking us to court. 4 years later (above all the stress they caused us!!) we won the case. They had to pay us back everything we paid them to date. Legal fees more than double the cost of the roof!!! Complete waste of time! On top of this, we had to re-do our roof as we had leaks within 3 years of them doing the work. Their roofers didn’t even install vents back where they belonged and didn’t bother to install wood beneath the shingles. How is this even possible? Does a roofer not feel bad about doing this terrible workmanship? By the way, I’m certain this company asks their friends to post positive reviews about them. It’s just not possible, based on our experience, for them to have a 4 star or above rating.

Sunrise Construction completed a roof at my parent's house in 2016. I was thoroughly impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism and the quality of the work. They were punctual in completing the roof, addressed issues that we had not anticipated (for free), and they went out of their way to try to save us additional costs where it was possible. I would highly recommend, and will certainly be using their services in the future!
