We were heading out west and stopped around 2 am to get a few hours of sleep. When I first opened the door it was apparent very old room that needed updated. Took my shoes off and my feet were sticking to the carpet like bubble gum. I immediately checked the bed and looked for bed bugs. No signs. My husband has a CPAP... No plug ins by headboards. Had to sleep at foot of bed, only one plug in worked. Barely slept, got up at 6 am to take showers and leave. This is the reason for the 1 star... Sewer started coming up in the shower! Told the lady at the desk and she knew! She said it happens if the room above us is using shower or toilet!

For where and what it is, okay. 1st the Clerk was nice and attended to me immediately. 2nd it's right off 84east, I had been driving for 20 hours soo, yeah I may have been abit frazzled. Although, I arrived at 11 pm and stayed 5 hours not sleeping a wink. Why, the overall area and accommodation were right out of an M. KNIGHT SHAMALAN Movie. I for one laid all the bath towels out over the bed and pillows, wrapped my head in a scarf from my car, pulled my hoodie tight, locked the door placed a chair in front of the door and laid quietly with one hand on my cell phone and the other on a semi auto%@$*< pis/*[. Nothing occurred that I am aware of and I made it to my east coast destination 19 hours later. My words of advice, for this location, do all I did, but Do Not do it ALONE.

The a/c doesn’t work. The air in the room is dank, and it smells like mold and mildew. The pillows are paper thin, and there are no outlets by the head of the bed, so if you need to use a cpap, bring an extension cord or rearrange the bed to sleep in the opposite direction. There are bugs in the room, but at least they weren’t bed bugs or roaches. The walls in the room have a painted over cinder block, dungeon kind of look. I thought we could suck it up and just fall asleep for a few hours before hitting the road again, but neither me nor my ten-year-old could sleep in the sticky, hot air. I tried opening the door as much as I could (while using the bolt lock), because it was much cooler outside. That didn’t work. My son started crying because he was so tired, but he couldn’t sleep. So, I went to the office, where the incredibly rude hotel owner told me the a/c works just fine, which was incredibly frustrating, because she had to know it didn’t. I asked her to come my room, so that I could show her hot it was. She refused. She gave me the keys to a different room, which also had an air conditioner that didn’t work. She refused to give me my money back, citing that I had already been there for a couple hours. Regardless, I packed up and left, because it was impossible to sleep in the moldy, smoldering hot room. I stayed at the other hotel in town, the Relax Inn, which was SO much nicer. The AC worked great, it was clean and comfortable, and they were friendly. All this for only $20 dollars more. I’ve never stayed anywhere as awful as this motel. I see several other reviews regarding the lack of air conditioning. Another reviewer said only stay here if it’s all you can afford. I respectfully disagree. If this is the only place in your budget, then you’re better off pulling over at a rest stop and sleeping in your vehicle. You’ll be better rested in the morning and have saved your self the expense of a sleepless night in an uninhabitable room.
