For openers, the new owner did not honor our reservation made last summer. The room rate increased some 25% higher than our previous stays. The morning breakfast bar is also a joke. The bed made a noise when you sat on it. Now for the best part. The hotel charged my credit card used to make the new reservation for something, but not certain what. My wife's card was swiped and posted for our entire stay when we checked into the hotel. When I called to question the charge the employee said to send copies of our receipts and she would forward on to the owner. It has been a month and haven't heard anything from the owner or the hotel regarding this billing error. Is this customer service ?? Is this a way to start a new operation ?

The woman who runs/owns this place is a total space cadet. She overcharged me. My reservation clearly states $108.19 with tax and she charged me $110.77. I asked for a receipt at checkout and she didn’t know how to print one so all I got was the room rate before taxes. The person staying with me left her personal pillow that has a silk pillow case on it. She called the hotel right away and said that we would be back to get it after we attended a funeral. The lady said we would be charged another night if we left a suitcase in the room. Uh we clearly said it was a PERSONAL PILLOW!! She finally seemed to understand and said she would have it at the front desk. When we got there, she had it in her own chair and was using it. She didn't seem to remember the call saying we would be back. She had to be directed to give the pillow back. She appeared unclean and unkempt so needless to say, the pillow case MUST be washed before use. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the springs are noisy. Will not stay here ever again. We will drive an extra 20-30 minutes to stay somewhere else.

I just left there after having to make an emergency stop due to bad weather last night. It's currently under renovation, but even with that going on it is still a nice place. The lady that was there this morning was very friendly and informative. And the room was very nice and the bed was decently comfortable. The breakfast left something to be desired but really wasn't horrible. I will definitely be using this place again in the case of an emergency. And hopefully by then construction will be done and I won't be woken up by the noise from them. But I do highly recommend this place. Great job guys!

Wish I could give a 0/5 Awful family experience!! While checking the room for bed bugs, my 5 year old daughter pulled back the bed sheets and found a used bong. Brought it to me, asking what she found , I threw it on the bad and left the room. Called the service desk and she came up and gave us a new room. Later that evening the manager tells my husband how she knows the people that stayed in the room and is friends with the house keeper , not believing they could have used that stuff. The next morning I wanted to make sure this was relayed to the owners and not pushed under the table. I asked for them to call me. After waiting a whole day for the owners to call I called back to the hotel asking when they were going to give me a call about the situation. Realizing that I was speaking to the manager from the previous night. The conversation didn't go well as she explained after talking to house keeping there was no way it happened the way I said and blamed my 5 year old for bring a bong into the hotel. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!
