This property made a good fist impression upon entry. The clerk allowed us an early checking. The property allowed us to have our dachshund in the room. The lobby looked good and smelled good. The breakfast area was clean, brightly illuminated and well stocked. The room was clean and everything worked. The AC was great. The shower did have a leak. The ceiling had several cracks, nothing that took away from our pleasant stay.
Super 8 has a bad reputation in other places like Milwaukee but here in Jacksonville, IL it's a great hotel. Everything clean and new. Serve breakfast. Front desk clerk both days were more than helpful and friendly. And the price is better than thos other hotels.
The room was so so. The toilet in my room wouldn't flush and smelled like raw sewage. I am not satisfied with this situation. The guy who checked me in had to plunge the toilet as soon as I got there. Instead of changing rooms he tried to tell me in broken English I would have to add water to it to flush. I should have complained, but I just wanted to sleep.
