They are lucky to get one star. They are not local even though they've somehow managed to get Google to say they're from Cobourg. When the man came to my house he didn't even investigate my sump pump but said it needed to be replaced. They quoted me a substantial sum for replacement. I did not feel good about it. They tried to pressure and negotiate on my driveway as the man said his boss wanted to close the deal when I said over 2k was too much. They did email two quotes and charged me a hundred dollars for a diagnosis. Fast forward to next day I called other plumbers. They came out and actually looked at the pump and quickly determined it was a clog and fixed it efficiently and for far far less than thousands of dollars. I would have replaced a perfectly good pump had I listened to them and out a hundred bucks for nothing literally. I felt very taken advantage of at a very difficult time. I'd just had surgery for cancer and not very mobile yet and in pain. Just awful. The guy literally just went into the pump room and stared at the pump for a minute. I even asked are you sure it's actually broken beyond repair and he said yes.

Did a google search for plumber in Cobourg ON and found Delta Plumbers listed as 24 hours services. Turns out they are NOT located in Cobourg at all. I was told someone would be on site between 5 and 7pm on Saturday and a C refundable diagnostic fee of $149.99 would apply. No problem No one showed up and when I called back a service tech called me and asked for photos or video of the leak. I provided a video of the leak in the side of the water tank. He said it was too late to purchase a new water tank if that was the problem so would show up at 9am Sunday instead. I told him to bring a water heater with him and replace it. Sunday morning at 11am a technician tells me that the tank needs to be replaced (yes I know). He tells me the quote is $2800 + tax to replace the tank. 😳😳😳 What choice do I have but to agree provided the work is done on Sunday. I should have gone to the store myself and bought a tank. I receive the invoice and pay the required 50% deposit of $1,582.00 - not an Itemized invoice . A new 40 gallon water tank at Home Depot in that day was $509.00 I had to call back to get an update but heard from the tenant before the company that the work was complete. I WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. I will go without water and get a reputable plumber instead going forward.
