PsBoston7I have an infinite love of gourmet markets and shops that stock items for my #culinaryadventures I have been coming to Surfas since they were located in Culver City. This location is crammed tight with stuff to make your epicurean heart sing. From butters, cheeses, pastas, jams, olive oils, Asian food accompaniments, seasonings, gadgets, pots, pans, chocolates, nuts ETC. they have everything here. We went 2 weeks ago when they were have a HUGE sale and I got some loot for Birthdays coming up and Housewarming gifts for new neighbors. If you are a die-hard foodie or you have to purchase a gift for one I highly recommend this spot. Parking can be tricky though (especially when they are busy) also the Cafe makes great sandwiches and the music in here is always inviting.
susan ableWow, I wandered in on a local excursion (I wanted to see the house used for Six Feet Under, it’s just down the street) and saw this place. As a good writer and home cook/baker, I love a good kitchen supply store and Surfas was simply overwhelming in scope and product—so much for the professional food service and many items that are hard to find for bakers, cake makers, just so many tools. Not to mention an entire refrigerator case dedicated to butter. Came home with lots of fun ingredients and tools!
