Has a quote to fix the lid of my laptop (top plastic cover) was quoted 100-120 plus tax for labor and parts. Was asked to place 50 dollar deposit and they would call me with final price prior to doing the work. Next day was told it would be 260 plus tax (140 for part and 120 for labor) to fix it despite there being no additional complications. Not sure how this math works out and why they believe it’s ok to charge what they initially estimated as the total cost, now just for labor. This quote works out to about 2.5x more than the original estimate. This is very frustrating as I had to pay a non refundable deposit which I never would have if they gave me a more accurate estimate. Additionally, the reason I had to do a deposit was because taking the lid off to reveal the part number was considered diagnostics. In hindsight, I’m not sure why this couldn’t have been done by looking up the part number from the model as they were able to find the model number without opening the laptop. When I picked up my laptop I asked if they would refund me the deposit based on the gross underestimation of a straightforward job which they initially said no but then said “they’ll check and call”. I have yet to hear back but will be following up this week. Overall disappointing service, poor customer service, and lack of professionalism regarding accuracy in work and estimating cost.

Forgot to mention, I was charged nothing. In here, you can skip the wait, as the technician perform diagnosis in a fraction of minute and charge you reasonably. I highly recommend this business.
