Just wow! This restaurant is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for authentic Portuguese food with incredible attention to detail, warm and attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere—all at a very reasonable price—this is the place for you. We wanted to escape the touristy, one-size-fits-all menus that dominate the old town of Albufeira, and we couldn’t have been happier to stumble upon this spot. From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the cozy setting and the genuinely friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The service was impeccable—professional yet personal, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The food was simply outstanding: beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and clearly prepared with care and pride. Each dish was memorable, and the balance of quality and affordability was unbeatable. We loved it so much that we came back twice during our five-night stay—no other place quite lived up to it. A true highlight of our trip, and one we’ll be recommending to anyone visiting Albufeira.

So good we went twice in a row! The owner was still eating his lunch when we decided to try this restaurant and he was so accommodating and sat us down and explained the menu to us. It was so good that we reserved a table the next day to try the rest of the menu. The grandpa balls, cod fish and eggs, chorizo and the wild mash were my favourites. He even gave us a shot at the end which him and his father home make which was lovely. Highly recommend to anyone!

Delicious tapas-style dinner. The flavours were so delicious and tasted like they were made with care. Staff was very friendly and checked-in several times to make sure our meals were going well. Pricing very reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

I’m not usually one to review but this was such a great hidden gem that more people need to know about! We tried a new restaurant for every lunch and dinner for a week, but this was our absolute favourite!! The menu was varied and interesting with very knowledgable and attentive staff to explain their delicacies - with their modern twist on authentic Portuguese food. The atmosphere was great! 10/10 recommend, wish I was staying for longer so I could go back again Pictured: fire shrimp (5 in portion), octopus salad, bread and olives, (not pictured: we also got “bras” codfish, Portuguese soup and a codfish cake)
