Customer experiences
This review is honest and clear. On Dec 2, I got an online bid with detailed photos on my 2025 HOnda CRV Hybrid (mint). I went into the local Tulsa store to verify on Dec 9th-all good. I needed ONE day to get my title from Oklahoma. Store said just resubmit the next day. Oh I did-$1,600 less in 24 hours. That market does not change that fast. The online process must be broken. I recommend doing the appraisal in person. The Tulsa store has always been a good experience until this time $1,600 reduction in two days. Pretty unacceptable.
I’m 64 years old and have bought and sold many vehicles throughout my lifetime. CarMax is the best, everyone at the Tulsa location made it personal and went above and beyond the call for service… Tabitha was absolutely phenomenal and cannot thank her enough for helping us.. Thanks so much for the outstanding support and service!!
We have only sold cars to CarMax so I can’t give a review on purchasing. Our experience has always been so professional. We have always completed the information online & then received an appraisal. The in-store appraisal offer has never changed from the online offer. We had made an appointment and checked in at the front then we were taken to their business office area. The employees are extremely nice and professional. It took about 40min -45min start to finish. They don’t try to sell you a vehicle or make you feel bad for just selling. Their offers are often comparable or better than other dealerships. We love that you leave with a check in hand. We’ve never had any issues . We will continue to sell vehicles there when needed.
Bought a lemon here 2 months ago and theyre refusing to do the transmission repair within their 4000 mile warranty as promised per their own policy. First they claimed their best mechanic looked it over and found nothing wrong with my suspension and transmission after I left it there a week. Took it to Aamco after the front end squeaking turned into a loud popping noise and the transmission was still slipping. Aamco found both front struts defective, engine oil still leaking that carmax said they fixed and the transmission slipping between 1st and 2nd gear. They dont stand behind their promise for quality pre inspected used cars if you expect them to or fix repairs they missed and supposedly checked but they'll take you hard earned 20k no problem.
