Since the majority of our duroid shingled roof was covered in moss and mildew, we requested a quote from Jesse of Tall Guy Window Cleaning. A reasonably priced quote was received that night and we booked a cleaning appointment 2 weeks down the road. I must admit, I was leary of this cleaning process of brooming off the loose moss, then applying a chemical that is supposed to kill the remaining moss and mildew especially during the winter. Jesse spent approximately 5 none stop hours brooming the loose moss off, used a backpack blower to remove the debris from the roof, then spent a good hour blowing off the debris from our driveway, sidewalks and patio. He then applied his chemical treatment advising it would take some time for it to kill the remaining growth. There was still quite a bit of obvious moss stuck to the ends of the shingles that couldn't be removed with brooming, so we decided to wait and see what happened. One month later, the majority of the roof was completely moss/mildew free but did notice some moss in a few areas but decided to leave it until the spring so the chemical could continue working. A few days later, Jesse happened to be in our neighbourhood, stopped in to check our job and once he saw those affected areas, stated he would come back and re-treat them. He returned the following week and not only re-treated those areas, but retreated the entire roof! It's now been 2 1/2 months since his initial treatment, so I took some drone photos and it looks like a new roof. My only regret is I didn't take drone shots before his treatment that would show the drastic difference. Jesse is personable, very professional and certainly stands behind his work. Finding this type of exceptional customer service this day and age is extremely rare. I would highly recommend his services. I'm attaching some photos of his work. Keep in mind our roof was dark with moss and mildew buildup prior to the cleaning.
