Amazing experience with one of the students there! Miguel was very professional and confident with the massage. He explained and addressed any concerns I had during the massage, he was very friendly and professional as well and definitely made sure that I had an amazing experience. The school itself was very clean, friendly staff, and overall was a great experience for an affordable cost. Will definitely be returning and will continue to support HSM.

Where do i start I've been coming here for 6yrs... 1. The students are very talented, responsible and friendly, the front desk is also very responsible, helpful and friendly, whenever i have a language barrier with one of the students the front desk staff is always willing to translate for me, you never know until you ask for help!!! 2.Sometimes you get one or two students that still feel nervous about their internship but that happens to everyone when something new 3. When you enter the building it smells like lemongrass and fabuloso yummy!, (i also appreciate that fact that is chilly inside with this horrible summer weather) every time i come i see the housekeeping man, fully cleaning the school areas, i do see that they get very busy so you cant expect a fully clean restroom when you have 20 ppl come in and out 4. I noticed that students have their designated areas to wash their hands/arms before and after every client as well as cleaning solutions to clean the massage table, i also love that they have incorporated a table warmer, im the type of person that gets cold during the massage, but if you don't like it YOU CAN ASK TO TURN IT OFF! you never know until you ask!! 5. I've never had a problem with my face/eyes since the students don't touch any of those parts (if you're DIRTY just say that) 6.You can't expect a full spa experience when you pay $40 for a STUDENT MASSAGE!! but any complain that i've had the front desk or Anita had taken care of it, which only happened once, other that, i will keep on making business with the school and have the students practice on me, bc that how you master the art of massaging!!

This was my very first massage, and I truly didn’t know what to expect. I came in with an open mind, hoping for a relaxing and professional experience, but I left feeling uncomfortable and deeply concerned. From the moment I walked in, the building had a strong musty, almost moldy odor. The restroom I used wasn’t filthy but certainly wasn’t clean — there were visible stains, dirt, and the toilet hadn’t been properly sanitized. That alone was disappointing for a health and wellness setting. In the massage room, I noticed hair and dirt on the floor. I told the student that it was my first time and that I wasn’t sure what to do. She told me to take off my shirt and pants and lie on the bed, but her instructions weren’t clear. I stood there confused until she returned and demonstrated. I believe there was a language barrier, which made communication difficult and left me feeling uneasy. Before calling me in, the student went into the restroom. I didn’t hear the water run, and I was listening — because I always pay attention to handwashing. When I realized she was the one who came out of the restroom and didn’t wash her hands (at least not audibly), that’s when it clicked: the very next day, I woke up with one of my eyes puffy, painful, and swollen. I can’t say with absolute certainty, but I strongly believe this reaction came from either the lotion applied to my face or from the headrest — possibly contaminated due to poor hygiene. I also was not informed I’d be lying on a heated pad, which I strongly dislike. That added to my discomfort. The massage itself was just okay — some areas felt nice, others did not. Overall, I left feeling more tense than relaxed. For a school that’s supposed to train professionals, hygiene, clear communication, and cleanliness should be non-negotiable. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, especially for the sake of future first-time clients like myself.
