Our son was enrolled here for a few years - grades 6 to 9. The school follows a combination of French and Ontario curricula - not sure the proportion. Since he joined late, and his French was ... non-existent, he was placed in his first year there in a class with 2 (two!) other grade 6 kids, so that they could get special, one-on-one attention from their teacher. Well, by the end of that year he was almost fluent in French. TFS also excelled on all French-culture things: literature (they read Moliere, Corneille, Racine - well, some of that, as befitting elementary school level), were taught French history and geography ... the works. What was also nice was that TFS staff had Metropolitan France accents (not Quebecois). We decided to move him to an English-language school after grade 9, as we noticed that he was lacking the required English vocab for science and math classes. However, he's still fluent in French, to the extent that some time ago he tried a case in French in an Ottawa courtroom (he's a lawyer). So, we're really happy about that. The reason for not giving it 5 stars is that science and math teaching didn't quite match their French focus. For instance, in grade 7 they did not offer a computer science class.
A male friend of mine got bullied by a certain student who I wont name. But he has a dog, named jasper.
