Our claim to fame is being the Tournament Capital of the Country, yet when our out of town hockey parents come to our arenas at 6am the heaters on the AWAY side are not on. The parents are freezing. The HOME side is nice and warm. I’m from Kamloops and very disappointed that the comments about our arenas are “archaic” and “freezing”. It is embarrassing. 👎🏻 I don’t have much of a rear end but what I did have froze off watching the kids play. These people are our guests and have babies and small children along with them. The thing about these facilities that the City of Kamloops maintains, is that the people who run them seem genuinely happy to be there. Always clean and well kept. Ice is consistently good. Only downside is that it's super cold in this arena on winter mornings.
